Hi, Yoshi here, welcome to Zhouquan Shar-Pei. At this time I am the first of this wonderful breed owned by the Christies.
Previously they have had German Shepherds due to Shona's{mummy }mum breeding that breed for the past 15 yrs.(see links page)
My family consists of mummy, daddy and 2 kids, 13 & 6 yrs. They were looking for a breed that suited both their lifestyle and complemented their family. After serious consideration and research they decided that the Shar-Pei were the dogs for them and picked ME!!
They have found me [currently 2 1/2] to be a perfect addition to the family.I am a family dog in that I dont favour any member of the family in particular. I am just as content lying on the floor sleeping as I am at playing with the kids at my favourite game "steal the sock!!!
I love going for long walks on the golf course, chasing the birds {and sometimes the golfers wanting to play} or lying about the house driving them all mad due to my snoring[I think they lie cause I dont hear me!!].
I am brilliant with both the kids and that of all the kids in the neighbourhood.
Like any dog I thrive on human contact and socialization, both of which I would strongly encourage for any family considering this majestic breed.
All breeding by my family is undertaken with the sole objective of producing quality examples of the breed[just like me] who would be a loyal and loving addition to any family who treats it with the love and respect any dog deserves.
